University Orchestra to perform Herbert, Dvorak, Bernstein, Bruch Tuesday.

Minnesota State Mankato’s University Orchestra will perform compositions by Victor Herbert, Antonin Dvorak, Leonard Bernstein/Jack Mason, Max Bruch and Reinhold Gliere in a concert Tuesday, March 24.

The performance, sponsored by the Department of Music, will be at 7:30 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. General admission is $8; tickets for K-12 students are $4; and tickets for MSU students with a valid MavCard are $4.

The University Orchestra is a select instrumental group of string and wind players. It offers students, regardless of major, an opportunity to read and perform music written for orchestra and chamber ensembles. Conductor Joseph Rodgers brings years of music directing and performing experience to the ensemble.
