Lama Shenpen Drolma will discuss "Enduring Change: Transforming Hope and Fear" during a public lecture Wednesday, Sept.23, at Minnesota State Mankato.

The lecture, free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public, will be from 7-9 p.m. in Centennial Student Union Room 284. Drolma will discuss how transforming hope and fear can steady us, sharpen our judgment and sustain the energy needed for bringing about the greatest welfare for everyone.

Drolma is resident lama of Iron Knot Ranch in New Mexico and Chagdud L’hundrub Ling in Flagstaff, Ariz. She was ordained as a lama in 1996 by Tibetan meditation master His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche.

The event is sponsored by the Kessel Peace Institute, College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, College of Arts & Humanities and the Philosophy Department.
