Effective mentoring relationships will be discussed by human resources expert Tammy Allen in a lecture Monday, Oct. 19.
Allen will present “What do we Really Know about Effective Mentoring Relationships?” at 6 p.m. in Armstrong Hall Room 102. The lecture, one of a series presented by Minnesota State Mankato’s industrial-organizational psychology master’s program, is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
Allen is associate editor of the “Journal of Applied Psychology” and the “Journal of Occupational Health Psychology.” She serves on the executive board of the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and is a fellow of the society and the American Psychological Association.
The lecture series also features Don MacPherson on Oct. 9, Michael Hepperlen on Oct. 16, Brenda Flannery on Nov. 13 and Jodi Heichert on Nov. 20. Those lectures will be at 2 p.m. in Weicking Center B133.
