Three choirs to perform in concert Nov. 2

Three Minnesota State Mankato choirs will perform in concert Monday, Nov. 2.

The Concert Choir, the Chamber Singers and the University Chorale will present an evening of music at 7:30 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The performance is sponsored by the Department of Music. General admission is $9; children, K-12 students and Minnesota State Mankato students with valid MavCard are $6.

The performance will include compositions by Thomas Pascual, Moses Hogan, Richard Hageman, George Frideric Handel, Claude Debussy and David C. Dickau.

The Concert Choir and Chamber Singers are directed by David Dickau, and Andrew Miller directs the University Chorale.

The Concert Choir is a select choral group of approximately 60 members, and provides highly motivated students experience in singing the best choral literature. The Concert Choir includes students from many majors across the University, and performs numerous concerts each year, on and off campus.

The Chamber Singers is a highly select auditioned small ensemble that specializes in performing early music.

The University Chorale is open to all women and men interested in singing a variety of musical styles.
