Music by Ives, Schumann, King, Gould and LeRoy Anderson will be presented by the Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble Sunday, Nov. 8.
The performance, sponsored by Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Music, will be held at 3 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The ensemble performs new and classic works of the wind band repertoire with the highest level of musicianship.
General admission is $9; tickets for K-12 students are $6; and tickets for students with a valid MavCard are $6. Those who wish to purchase tickets may do so online at the Music Department's Web site.
Amy K. Roisum Foley, director of bands for the Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble, is also director of bands and music faculty member at Minnesota State Mankato. Jay Eichhorst, assistant director of the ensemble, is director of instrumental music studies at Madelia High School and an active member and adviser in the Mankato Symphony Orchestra.
