On 11/03/2009 Security and the Mankato Police took a report of two sexual assaults by contact that occurred on 10/31/2009. One assault occurred at an off campus apartment and the other at an on campus residence hall. Both assaults are believed to have been committed by the same suspect.
Neither victim was physically injured during the assaults.
The suspect accompanied one of the victims to an off campus party where he had forcible physical contact with the first victim. Later, after returning to campus, the suspect had forcible physical contact with thee acquaintance who had accompanied him to the party.
A suspect has been identified to the Mankato Police.

Sexual assault is not sex; it is an act of violence. Although some people are assaulted by strangers, many other victims know their assailant.
