Susan FaludiFeminist author and Pulitzer Prize-winner Susan Faludi will discuss “Why Haven’t Women Remade the World Yet” at Minnesota State University, Mankato on Wednesday, March 24.

Faludi’s 2010 Carol Ortman Perkins Lecture will be at 7 p.m. in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom. The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public. A reception in the Centennial Student Union Heritage Room will follow her talk.

Faludi, author of Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women and Stiffed: The Betrayal of the American Man, has devoted her career to chronicling the shifting roles of men and women in society, becoming a provocative voice for women’s rights and gender equality.

Faludi has written for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and other national publications. In addition to the Pulitzer Prize, she has received the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Her Minnesota State Mankato visit is sponsored by the Women’s Center and the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies.
