Dr. Sarah Halvorson, professor, an expert in the water, health and the role of gender in environmental risk, will speak to the community Friday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. in Armstrong Hall Room 102. All are welcome.
The talk, which is sponsored by the Department of Geography, will speak on Water, Vulnerability, and Mountain Communities: Insights from Central Asia. She will focus on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals of water and health using three case studies from Central Asia that involve women and the complex challenges of addressing basic needs.
