Representatives from Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Financial Services, Institutional Diversity and TRIO programs will provide help and free information to families about how to complete FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on Sunday, Feb. 20.

The “College Goal Sunday” workshop is for any student who plans to attend college this fall or next year. The workshops are designed for low-income students, or students who will be the first in their families to attend college. Parents and legal guardians are welcome to attend, too.

The free workshop, sponsored by Minnesota Office of Higher Education and the Minnesota Association of Financial Aid Administrators, will be from 2-4 p.m. in lower level (computer lab area) of Centennial Student Union.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is required of any student seeking federal financial aid, including federal student grants, work-study funds and loans. The application may also be used to apply for most state and some private financial aid.

Those who have questions may contact Jan Marble, Minnesota State Mankato’s student financial services director, at janice.marble@mnsu.edu or (507) 389-5120.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive, doctoral university with 15,393 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system.
