Whether you loved it or hated it, one thing’s probably for certain: You probably didn’t forget it.
For years the Centennial Student Union Ballroom at Minnesota State Mankato has been maligned. Whether it’s the cave-like lighting or the ceiling that looked like an asbestos-covered experiment in Martian architecture, the ballroom was a unique piece of the Minnesota State Mankato personality puzzle.
But now, and for the next eight months, the ballroom will be a construction zone. And the memorable room that played host to ex-presidents, classic rock bands and feminist icons will be transformed into a technologically revamped center of campus activity. It is the last area of the student union to have never been renovated.
