‘Block Party’ to benefit Campus Kitchen is April 14

Management students help to raise funds for Campus Kitchen.

Campus Kitchen and Minnesota State Mankato business management students will stage a “block party” Thursday, April 14, to raise awareness and money for Campus Kitchen.

The event, open to students, faculty, staff and the public, will be on the university’s campus mall area next to Centennial Student Union from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The band Key Lime Special will perform from noon to 1 p.m., and the event will include a bean-bag toss tournament, a Toppers Sticks eating contest, hot dog stand, prize wheel, free cotton candy and popcorn, games and prizes.

All proceeds will go directly towards Campus Kitchen.

Campus Kitchen is a non-profit organization that provides well-balanced food for people in need in the Mankato area through student volunteers, campus dining service professionals, and community organizations.
