Minnesota State Mankato’s Concert Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform a final concert of the academic year, “I’ve Got the Faith!” on Thursday, April 21.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. in Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.

It will not intentionally be a religious performance, says Director of Bands Amy Roisum Foley, but is “intended to inspire the feeling of something greater than ourselves in the universe – regardless of religious affiliation or not.”

The Symphonic Band will premiere an arrangement of Enya’s “Sail Away,” composed by a longtime Symphonic Band member Russell Schmitt and featuring a quartet of Mankato area singers.

The Concert Wind Ensemble will feature Benjamin Druffel and Roisum-Foley conducting the group and a vocal soloist, Christina Oanes, on “Angels in the Architecture” by Frank Ticheli.

Graduating seniors and students who will be student teaching or interning during the fall semester will be acknowledged.

Tickets are $9 general admission; $7 for Minnesota State Mankato students with a valid MavCard, and $6 for other students (K-12) and children. Those who wish to purchase tickets online may go to Those who want more information may call the Performance Series office at (507) 389-5549.
