Minnesota State Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance

The plays come fast during the summer. Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Highland Summer Theatre will continue the merry mayhem with “Clue: The Musical.” Performances are at 7:30 p.m. June 8-11 in Ted Paul Theatre, sponsored by Gislason & Hunter Law Office.

Parker Brothers’ popular "Clue" game is a musical bringing the world’s best known suspects to life, and inviting the audience to help solve the mystery: Who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon? The performance is a Minnesota State Mankato premiere.

The audience takes a part in determining the combination of potential murderers, weapons and rooms; there are 216 possible solutions. Only one hard-nosed female detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem.

“Clue: The Musical” is directed by spring MFA Directing graduate Michael James and features faculty member Paul Finocchiaro as Mr. Boddy. The stage, transformed into a recreation of the board game, will be populated by such characters as Colonel Mustard (Steven Lange), Prof. Plum (J. Alexander Coe) and Miss Scarlet (Emily Jansen).

Tickets for “Clue: The Musical” are $20 regular, $18 discounted and $14 for current Minnesota State Mankato students, and may be purchased online at, by calling (507) 389-6661 or at the Theatre & Dance Box Office in the Performing Arts Center lobby, open 4-6 p.m.
