Campus Safety Alert

The University has issued a campus safety alert.


The University has been notified via email of an unspecified terroristic threat to the campus. The University is taking this threat seriously. Mankato police and federal authorities have been notified and local law enforcement is actively investigating.

The University has increased security on campus and is taking every precaution to protect the campus community. Especially during the next 48 hours, members of the campus community are asked to remain alert and report any unusual or suspicious activity to Campus Security (phone 389-2111) or to Mankato police (phone 911).

Students currently living on campus should contact Residential Life with any concerns regarding their living arrangements. Any employees choosing to not report to work must make arrangements with their supervisors for personal leave time.

We are informing the campus community through voiceover IP paging, Star Alert and email.

The University will provide additional updates via email, as appropriate.
