Minnesota State Mankato’s Orchestra will perform works of Frederick Delius, Mozart and Reinhold Gliere in a Tuesday, Oct. 18, concert.
The Orchestra, directed by Joseph Rodgers, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center.
The repertoire includes Delius’ “On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring” and “Summer Night on the River,” Mozart’s “Symphony #35 in D major,” and Gliere’s “Russian Sailors’ Dance” from the ballet “The Red Poppy.”
“Students have been preparing for a very powerful performance,” Rodgers said.
Concert admission is $9, $7 for students with a valid MavCard, and $6 for other students (K ¬ 12) and children. Those who wish to purchase tickets online may go to www.mnsu.edu/music. Those who want more information may call the Performance Series office at (507) 389-5549.
