Two experts to discuss effective communication

Two Minnesota State University, Mankato alumni and communication experts will present the Department of Communication Studies’ Nadine B. Andreas Lecture Thursday, Oct. 20, at the university.
Linda Bornholdt Dickmeyer and Scott Dickmeyer will discuss “It’s Complicated: The Not-So-Natural Way to Effective Communication” at 7 p.m. in Centennial Student Union Rooms 253-255. The lecture is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
Linda Dickmeyer is associate professor and chair of the Communication Studies Department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She is an expert in pedagogy, service-learning, family communication and mental health, and in 2011 received her college’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
Scott Dickmeyer also is associate professor of Communication Studies at La Crosse. He has received numerous rewards for his research, teaching and service.
