Feminist activist and author Inga Muscio will discuss her books and answer questions in a free event Monday, Nov. 7.

Feminist activist and author Inga Muscio will discuss her books and answer questions in a free event at Minnesota State Mankato Monday, Nov. 7.

“An Evening with Inga Muscio,” presented by the Women’s Center and open to students, faculty, staff and the public, will be from 7-8:30 p.m. in Ostrander Auditorium of Centennial Student Union.

After the event Muscio will meet and greet fans and sign books in the Centennial Student Union Heritage Room. Her books are for sale at the Minnesota State Mankato Barnes and Noble Bookstore.

Muscio is the author of three books, including her latest, Rose, which delves into the culture of violence. Her other books urge women to break down boundaries between themselves and their bodies, and to critique white privilege, racism and colonialism.

Muscio was born and raised in Santa Maria, Calif., attended Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., and lives in Seattle.
