Campus observing Hunger, Homeless Awareness Week
Students are observing National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week this week with a collaborative exhibit and fundraisers.

Minnesota State Mankato students are observing National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week this week with a collaborative exhibit and fundraisers.
The week is part of a larger “Remember November” campaign, dedicated to promoting hunger awareness nationwide.
The exhibit continues through Friday, Nov. 18, in the lower level of Centennial Student Union. Exhibits provide information about ECHO Food Shelf, Salvation Army, Feeding our Community, Partners for Affordable Housing, Kids Against Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, Blue Earth County Social Services, Second Harvest and Campus Kitchen.
A karaoke fundraiser is scheduled each day through Friday from 11 a.m. to noon in the lower level of the union. And on Wednesday, Nov. 16, two bands will present a “Rock Away Hunger” off-campus fundraising concert from 7-10:30 p.m. at the Red Sky Lounge.
Other Centennial Student Union activities include games, henna tattoos, face-painting and free popcorn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
