Faculty and staff are invited to register for two continuing education programs which will be held at MSU, Mankato and Edina campuses. Both will focus on dispute resolution and mediation.

Participants will enhance professional skills, problem-solving skills and personal life. They will learn the causes of conflict and mediator tools and strategies for effective dispute resolution through discussion, demonstration, participation, self-evaluation and assistance from experienced coaches. Participants will learn mediation skills to facilitate creative, collaborative processes in assisting individuals and groups in employing productive solutions to disputes and problems.
This thirty-hour course conducted over four days focuses on mediation skills development.

Family mediation is an alternative to family court designed to assist parents in creative, collaborative co-parenting, and resolving issues in the best interest of children. It is a cooperative and constructive way to resolve differences and plan for the future. Training meets all Rule 114 requirements for qualified neutrals under Minnesota Supreme Court office of Education and Organizational Development and MN Continuing Legal Education.
