Outstanding Graduating Senior in Finance

Red Wing's Kathleen Ritter selected for 2012 honor.

Mankato, Minn. – Kathleen Ritter from Red Wing, Minn., has been named the 2012 Outstanding Graduating Senior in Finance at Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Ritter was chosen for the honor by faculty in the Department of Finance based upon her contributions to the area of finance and by her outstanding performance as an undergraduate student. During her academic career, Ritter maintained a 3.98 grade point average.

Ritter received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance in December 2011. She is a former captain of the women’s golf team, former president of Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed professional business fraternity, and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.

She someday hopes to become a Certified Financial Planner and manager of her own financial planning firm. She started her professional career in January 2012 with the KPMG accounting firm as an audit associate.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,649 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system, which comprises 32 state institutions.
