A screening of Star Dreamers Part One, "The Indian System," will take place Monday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in Minnesota State University, Mankato's Ostrander Auditorium, followed by a question and answer period by Sheldon P. Wolfchild.
Wolfchild has been researching the history of Dakota people in Minnesota and interviewing elders for 15 years in preparation for this three-part documentary. This viewing will be the first look at part one of the series, "The Indian System," which deals with the causes of the Dakota-US War of 1862.
This free event is sponsored by Ethnic Studies and American Indian Affairs and is part of Diversity and International Education Week.
