March 4: 'Microagressions in Everyday Life'

Dr. Derald Wing Sue, a professor at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City, to deliver lecture.

Mankato, Minn. -- Derald Wing Sue, a professor at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City, will give a presentation titled "Microaggressions in Everyday Life" on Wednesday, March 4 at 2 p.m. in Minnesota State University, Mankato's Ostrander Auditorium.

A reception immediately following the presentation will be held in the MavAve Lincoln Lounge.

Sue is a professor of psychology and education in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University.

According to Sue's biography on the American Psychological Association website: "Early childhood memories of being teased due to his ethnicity lead to his fascination with human behavior. His deep interest and passion led him to becoming one of the most prominent voices in cross cultural studies. With over 150 publications under his belt he is the most cited Multicultural Scholar today."
