Oct. 24: Juana Bordas to keynote 2015 Women & Spirituality Conference

Mankato, Minn. -- Bestselling Latina author and leadership authority Juana Bordas will be the keynote speaker of the 2015 Women and Spirituality Conference Saturday, Oct. 24 at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Bordas is president of Mestiza Leadership International, a company devoted to diversity, leadership and organizational change. She is the author of “Salsa, Soul and Spirit – Leadership for a Multicultural Age,” which won the 2008 International Latino book award and is used in more than 50 universities. Her keynote address will be on the first day of the two-day event on campus.
Now in its 34th year, The Women and Spirituality Conference takes place Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25 at Minnesota State Mankato. The annual event offers presentations on a wide range of approaches to spirituality. The purpose is to provide an atmosphere of support, encouragement and respect among the many paths taken by women and men from various spiritual and religious practices and traditions. The conference neither advocates nor excludes any view, but encourages appreciation of the many different paths represented.
The event, co-sponsored by the university’s College of Social & Behavioral Sciences, Gender and Women’s Studies Department, Institutional Diversity and Women’s Center, is expected to attract hundreds of participants.
