Mankato, Minn. – The 40th annual Dr. Michael T. Fagin Pan African Student Leadership Conference will be held March 24 and 25 in the Centennial Student Union on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus.

Conference highlights include a keynote speech by the founder of the conference, Dr. Michael T. Fagin, at 5:30 p.m. March 24, and a keynote presentation at 11:30 a.m. March 25 by Joan Morgan, journalist and Black-feminist writer.

The focus of this conference is to build student leaders and provide an opportunity for academic scholars, students, professionals and community members to discuss issues that affect African people.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Leading for Change.”

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,193 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system, which comprises 31 state institutions.
