Minnesota State Mankato to offer a Minnesota Lynx Bus Trip to Students and Community


MANKATO, Minn. – The Student Events Team, Student Activities, and the Centennial Student Union is sponsor a Minnesota Lynx Game Bus trip on July 25, at 7 p.m. The bus will leave at 4pm on July 25, 2017.

The event includes a coach bus ride to and from the Minnesota State University, Campus in front of the Centennial Student Union to the Xcel Energy Center and lower level reserved ticket. Tickets are located in section 115. The Minnesota Lynx have relocated their season to the Xcel Energy Center while the Target Center is closed for renovations.

“This event is perfect for families, students, and those looking to experience the WNBA for the first time,” said Greg Wilkins, Associate Director of Centennial Student Union and Student Activities.

Thanks to the Student Events team this event will be offered at a reduced rate. MNSU students can purchase tickets for $18 Minnesota State Mankato students will a valid MAVCard or $25 for the general public.

Tickets are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are available for purchase online at or in-person at the Student Activities office. The Student Activities office is located in the Centennial Student Union in room 173.

The Lynx have complied over 155 wins over the last six regular seasons (2011-2016), which is the most prolific six-year haul in WNBA history. In 2016, the Lynx also became the first WNBA franchise to win 27-plus games in a season three separate times.

Head coach Cheryl Reeve guided the Lynx to the first championship in franchise history in 2011, being named the WNBA Coach of the Year after leading Minnesota to a league-best 27-7 regular season record. She went on to lead the Lynx to WNBA titles in 2013 and 2015 and earned her second Coach of the Year honor following the 2016 season.
