Oct. 6: Rap Artist B.o.B to Perform on Campus
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 22 for Homecoming Week concert Friday, Oct. 6.

Mankato, Minn. – American rapper B.o.B will perform Friday, Oct. 6 at Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Myers Field House during the University’s Homecoming week. Jay Sean, an R&B singer, will open for B.o.B beginning at 7 p.m.
B.o.B, a six-time Grammy nominated rapper/songwriter, is the singer and producer of hits such as “Nothin’ on You,” “Airplanes,” “Headband” and “So Good.”
The concert, presented by Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Events Team and radio station Hot 96.7, is for all ages. Tickets (all general admission) will go on sale to students and the public at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22. Tickets may be purchased online at www.mnsuevents.com or at Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Activities front desk, located in the Centennial Student Union, Room 173.
Public tickets are $25. The first 1,400 Minnesota State Mankato students to reserve a ticket will receive free admission. After those tickets are distributed, Minnesota State Mankato students will have to purchase a ticket. Student guest tickets (one per student) are available for $20.
Homecoming VIP pre-party tickets are $40 for students and the public. The pre-party begins at 5:30 p.m. from the exclusive party perch overlooking Myers Field House. The party package, sponsored by Summit and Jacob Heights, includes free food, beverages, signed merchandise, exclusive seating and front row access.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on concert night, and there is no re-entry to the concert once a patron leaves. Parking will be available in Lot 20. No outside food, beverages, backpacks or flash photography is allowed. Minnesota State Mankato bans weapons on campus and is an alcohol, drug, and tobacco free campus. Use of substances will result in removal from the concert.

Minnesota State Mankato’s Student Events team is a student-led organization that produces fun, interactive and educational events for students to create lifelong memories and celebrate their Maverick pride. The Student Events Team meets every Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Centennial Student Union 245, and students interested in joining or volunteering with the group are welcome to attend the meetings.
