Maverick Men's Hockey to take on UMD in NCAA Tournament

Watch Friday's game online on ESPN3. If the Mavericks win, Saturday's game will be on ESPN2.

Mankato, Minn. -- Minnesota State University, Mankato’s men’s hockey team is one of 16 teams from across the nation that will begin play this weekend in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship tournament.

The Mavericks (29-9-1 overall) will take on Minnesota Duluth (21-16-3) tomorrow (Friday, March 23) at 6:30 p.m. Central time in the NCAA West Regional in Sioux Falls, S.D. (Complete NCAA bracket available here.)

Alumni and fans worldwide can watch Friday’s Maverick game for free online on ESPN3, an ESPN digital network. CLICK HERE to access ESPN3.

SATURDAY’S GAME IS ON ESPN2: If the Mavericks win Friday, they will play Saturday (March 24) at 8 p.m. Central time in the NCAA West Region final against either St. Cloud State or Air Force.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast live nationally on ESPN2, which is available through most cable television and satellite provider packages. Check your local provider for channel information.

Saturday’s winner will advance to the 2018 NCAA Frozen Four, held April 5 & 7 in St. Paul, Minn.
