Oct. 6: Singer/Songwriter Annie Mack in Concert

MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato's Department of Music announced that singer/songwriter Annie Mack (pictured) and her band will perform Saturday, Oct. 6 at Hooligans Neighborhood Pub, 1400 East Madison Ave., Mankato. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. with singer/songwriter Anastasia Ellis performing an opening set.

The concert is sponsored by University's Department of Music Performance Series and KMSU Radio.

According to a preview provided by the University's Department of Music, Mack has built a reputation for writing meaningful, relatable and inspirational songs.

Live, she delivers her songs with power, soul and conviction. A dynamic vocalist and charismatic performer, she takes the audience on a journey from velvet lined melodic depths to exciting, gritty, full bodied church hollers.

A regional artist with national recognition, Mack has performed at many top festivals and venues, including the John Coltrane Jazz Festival (N.C.), the Lancaster Roots and Blues Festival (Pa.), the Thunder Bay Music Festival, the Minnesota State Fair, the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, the Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth, Buddy Guys (Chicago), and the Blues City Deli (St. Louis). Mack is a regular performer around Minnesota, appearing frequently at venues such as the Aster, Bunkers, Vieux Carre and the Dakota Jazz Club.
