Oct. 17: Bluegrass Artists Dick Kimmel and Kelly Coyle

MANKATO, Minn. – Bluegrass artists Dick Kimmel (pictured) and Kelly Coyle will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 in Minnesota State University, Mankato's Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave.

Kimmel is a bluegrass singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who has been performing bluegrass music throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe for nearly 40 years.

He has recorded more than two dozen albums, including four recent CD’s for Copper Creek records.

Referring to the impact Kimmel has had on bluegrass music, a feature article for Bluegrass Unlimited magazine called him the “ambassador of bluegrass.”

General admission for the concert is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Minnesota State Mankato students will be admitted free with a valid MavCARD. Those who wish to purchase tickets online should go to
