The University requires two criteria to demonstrate good academic standing.
- You must achieve a 2.0 cumulative MSU GPA;
- You must achieve a 67% completion rate. To calculate completion rate, divide the number of credits you've earned by your overall credits attempted.
If you do not meet BOTH criteria you will be placed on academic warning. You have one semester after being placed on warning to improve your academic record, or you will be suspended from the University.
If you who do NOT achieve good standing after their warning semester, you WILL be allowed to continue on academic probation if you achieve BOTH criteria below while on warning:
- a 2.5 semester GPA;
- a 75% semester completion rate.
