Bus Services
Before you decide to purchase a parking permit...
- Campus bus service includes two buses each class day. One is the Student Senate's Campus Express Bus Route #1, a 22 minute route which goes through the campus out to nearby apartment complexes and back again until 10 PM. The Route #8 bus, on campus "circulator", is funded from parking funds and travels through campus & lots 20-23.
- Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am through 6 PM (Route #8 Bus) or 10 pm (Student Senate's Campus Express Route #1)
- Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (Route #1 & Route #8)
- No Saturday or Sunday service
- Purple. Orange, and Dark Green permit holders may ride the Campus Express bus free of charge.

Nighttime service is provided by the Campus Express Bus to the nearby apartment complexes as part of its 22 minute route run Monday-Thursday until 10 pm.
- The Red Eye Shuttle
operates by circling around campus and out to the far lots (Lots 21-23). The Red Eye Shuttle operates at these times:
- Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, 11:00pm - midnight (one shuttle); 6:00pm - 11:00pm (two shuttles)
- Sunday from 5 pm to 11 pm
- Free Service
- Does not operate during breaks, summers, and holidays
Stomper Express bus service is a special dedicated bus route from the campus out to the River Hills Mall, Wal-Mart, and other retail outlets miles from the campus. The Stomper Express is a joint venture funded by the City of Mankato and Minnesota State University, Mankato. The Stomper Express operates at these times:
- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm - 11 PM
- The rides are free for all MSU MavCard users but $1.50 per ride for all others.
Regular city wide routes:
- Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 6 pm
- Saturday from approximately 10am to 4:30pm
