The Office of Institutional Planning, Research and Assessment provides a process for the University to engage in proactive, transparent, efficient and effective planning. Decision-making is based on high quality, openly available data and evidence-based practices. Linkages between planning, budget and assessment empower the allocation of resources and investment in the University's strategic plan. The office enhances the University's shared governance; its planning process and gives administrators, faculty, staff, students and other constituents in institutional decisions.
Mission
The Office of Institutional Planning, Research and Assessment enhances the impact and effectiveness of the University's short-and long-term planning processes through gathering, analyzing and converting data into useful information and/or proactive planning.
Goals
- Translate campus data into information that is used in decision making.
- Circular communication system in place.
- Links budget, planning and assessment.
- Data driven decisions.
- Produce a new strategic plan with three to five goals by May 2009.
- Review and comment on all 2007- 2008 assessment reports by January 2009.
