Space Conclusion

Page address:

Based on the interview comments and campus forum, a number of space issues were identified. These include the need to enhance departmental identity, add 100 seat +/- lecture halls to the space inventory, upgrade classrooms, provide more student study space in closer proximity to classrooms and labs, provide sufficient faculty office space and improve space that does not meet space and quality standards. Efficient and precise room layout will most likely actuate fewer square footage increases than the 111,554 sf thought to be needed in the next 10 years. Some of the need for additional space is likely to be addressed by re-distributing space and a moderate increase in square footage.
