Communiqué #5 to the Campus Community

The fourth meeting of the Presidential Search Committee was held on Friday, November 2, 2001. Prior to this meeting, committee members have been individually reviewing the dossiers of nominees and applicants. This working meeting was the first of two sessions to be devoted to group discussion of candidates’ dossiers.

Applications and nominations are still being received by the committee’s staff. In the weeks ahead, committee members will continue their individual review of dossiers. At its next meeting (November 27, 2001), the committee will discuss the entire applicant pool and begin the process of reference-checking, prior to identifying the candidates to be invited to neutral-site interviews.
