Program Description The School Health program prepares health professionals with expertise in health education, health promotion and disease prevention for employment in public schools and related educational organizations.
Admission Requirements Students planning to major in one of the programs in the Health Science Department are assigned an advisor from their area of interest. Contact the department for application procedures and advisor assignment.
The minimum requirements to be admitted to the Community Health Major or School Health Major are:
  • A minimum of 32 earned semester credit hours
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 (C)
  • Completion of Health 260- Intro to Health Education
Other Requirements All major courses must be taken for grade.
