Program Description The Department of Special Education offers undergraduate programs at Minnesota State University, Mankato designed to prepare professionals to work in a variety of organizational settings and positions serving individuals with special needs, as well as programs designed to help professionals better serve the needs of all students in general educational settings.
Admission Requirements Application to professional education should be made when the following requirements have been met:
  • a minimum of 32 earned semester credit hours
  • a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • evidence of completion of the Minnesota Teacher Licensure Basic Skills Exam (MTLE).
