Dr. Filter is the internship coordinator of the school psychology program. He teaches Principles and Practices of School Psychology and Cognitive Assessment in addition to coordinating all field experiences, practica, and internships. Dr. Filter is involved with school-wide positive behavior interventions and supports (SW-PBIS) in Minnesota, serving as a trainer, state leadership team member, and evaluation specialist. He is also on the executive board of the Minnesota School Psychologists Association and on the editorial board of Psychology in the Schools. His research team focuses on function-based behavior intervention planning, role conflict amongst school psychologists, multicultural competence, and systems-level prevention.
