Prior to joining the school psychology program in 2011, I was a psychologist and the Program Assistant for School Psychology at Heartland Area Education Agency in Johnston, Iowa for 12 years. My areas of interest include Response to Intervention, problem-solving, Curriculum-Based Evaluation, Curriculum-Based Assessment, and effective instructional strategies. As I have been a practicing school psychologist for several years, I am interested in bridging research and practice and have a love for applied school psychology. My research interests include problem analysis for academic problems, effective instructional strategies and Curriculum-Based Assessment.
