Throughout a year many grade transactions are processed in the Office of the Registrar. Incomplete and In Progress grades being made up and changes of grades are a constant process.
The largest scale grade transaction, however, takes place at the end of each term when the grades from all of the semester classes are entered into the student records system. Beginning Spring term 2007, all semester grades will make their way into the records system by way of instructors entering their grades on the web, rather than by scan sheets.
Detailed information on entering grades via the web is available here.
At this time, the university does NOT utilize plus or minus (shaded) grades. The following grades are the only ones currently recognized and therefore able to be entered: A, B, C, D, F, P, NC, I, IP, AU.
Note that grades are not posted and do not show on students' records until one week after the term is actually over. Normally, this means that you and students should not expect to see grades on transcripts until Friday of the week following finals or the end of Summer term.
