Holds

A "hold" is a label or tag placed on you by an office of the University to signify that something you wish to do should be "held up" because of a problem you have with that office.

Some holds affect whether transcripts can be sent out for you, whether you can graduate, or if you can register for classes. When you have a hold that prevents registration, the registration system will indicate the office responsible for placing the hold.

No matter what the hold is, the solution is always the same--you must contact the office that placed the hold to resolve the problem.
