Logging in and Using the MnSCU Web System

The MnSCU web system has a number of different features for students to take advantage of, one of which is registration.

To login to the web system, go to www.mnsu.edu/msureg

You will see a screen asking for your tech ID and PIN. If you have forgotten these values, there are links provided to allow you to look them up.

Once you have entered your tech ID and PIN successfully, you will see:

The web system screens all have a set of options on the left side allowing you to do a number of things. For example, obtain a transcript-like listing of your courses at Minnesota State University, Mankato (Academic Record), obtain a DARS audit based upon the information you have on file (Degree Audit Report), or check your grades for a term. All of these features can be found by taking the Grades and Transcript option. The logout link is in the upper right corner of the screen.

Taking the Courses and Registration option shows you the following:

Many of the options, including this one, allow you to change the term which you are working with.

When first registering for a term, you will use Quick Add and see:

Note that it says student schedule not found, which of course is true because you have not yet enrolled in any classes. To use this screen, fill in the course ID's of the classes you wish and click the Register Now button. The results will be displayed and for those classes in which you did not get enrolled, a reason will be given.

In general, you will use Quick Add whenever you wish to add classes and View Modify when you wish to drop, change a grading method, or simply look at your schedule for a term.

When finished registering or using the web system for any reason, logout using the button at the top right of the screen.
