Online Audits in ISRS

There are times, when producing audits via the MnSCU student records system (ISRS), it may be convenient to view an audit online and then decide whether a printed copy is needed.

This can be accomplished without too much trouble by following the same development given for generating audits in ISRS, with a slight change in the printing information.

The following is an illustration of the DARS Audit Report screen in ISRS, with information filled in to run an audit based upon the student's degree program on file using a 2003-2004 catalog.

Instead of filling in the printer information, as would normally be done:

  • make sure that the Online circle is filled in
  • save or store to make the report run
  • wait a bit
  • press the Process Monitor button near the bottom of the screen

The following window should appear:

This is a screen which displays the various reports you have run that day, with the DARS report being the topmost line. Near the end of its line is a status filed that should say complete (if it says active, close the window and press the Process Monitor button again). At the very end of the line is a View button. Pressing that button should bring up the following window:

This is a window that contains a picture of the audit that normally would have been printed. You can scroll the window around to view the entire audit. If you do desire to print what you see, there is a button near the top of the window to do so.
