Short Courses

Page address: http://www.mnsu.edu/registrar/shortcourses.html

There are two types of courses based on length:

full term courses, which extend over the entire length of a term

short courses, which are only offered for some part of a term

The timelines for adding, dropping, and changing grading methods of short courses are different than those of full term courses. The deadlines for full term courses appear in the calendar for a particular term, but those for short courses are arrived at based on the courses themselves.

You can add courses which are not full term through the first two days of the course (unless the course is five or less days in length, in which case it may only be added through the first day).

You can drop half term courses through the Friday of the third calendar week of the half-term. Drops of other short courses can be done through the first five days of the course, if it is more than five days long, or through the first class day, if it is five or less days long.

You can change the grading method of short courses through the first five days of the course, if it is more than five days long, or through half the course's length, if it is five or less days long.

The refund policy on short courses is determined by Student Financial Services and they should be consulted for details on refunds.
