PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
- Fill out the Application to Present and write conference abstract
- Attend the URC workshop on the date which you signed up for on the “Application to Present“.
- Check the URC schedule to see when you present. Please make sure that you are in the appropriate session (oral, poster, performance). If you are in the wrong session, contact the Graduate Assistant as soon as possible.
- Arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes before your presentation time to become familiar with library media carts, upload presentations on computer, and register at the registration table.
- Attend the Luncheon and Award Celebration for student presenters, faculty mentors, URC committee members, and invited guests.

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
- Practice your presentation several times to make sure you are familiar and comfortable with the content.
- Practice using any visual aids.
- 15 minutes for each presentation will be allowed.
- Arrive 30 minutes before the beginning of your session to upload projects onto the provided computer.
- Moderators will be assigned to each session. This person will be a faculty member and is there to help you set up and introduce you to the audience.
- Speak loud enough, clear enough, and slow enough!

POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
- Students will be provided with a presentation board and push pins to display their presentation during the URC workshop.
- Students will have the opportunity to view previous URC poster presentations during the workshop.

POSTER PRESENTATION TIPS
- Lettering should be legible from five feet away.
- Use larger lettering for the poster’s title and author.
- Enlarge photos and graphs to be clearly seen.
- Make a scale drawing of your poster before actually assembling it.
- Use clear headings to draw the viewer’s attention.
- Provide any helpful handouts to help viewers more easily learn about your research.
