For students interested in living on campus next year, the Room Draw process begins in October and ends in April.

After April, students interested in living on campus for the 2012-2013 academic year may contact the Department of Residential Life or visit the Residential Life Office at 111 Carkoski Commons. Returning students may not apply online; Returning students must apply using a paper application.
Most MSU sophomores and upperclass students live off campus. The University provides information to assist students in this transition, including information on apartment listings, renter rights and responsibilities, campus shuttle services and city bus services.

When the original 1959-1965 residence hall debt service was paid off in the late 1990's, Residential Life developed a master plan to provide housing for the next generation of students. This plan includes renovation, new construction, and demolition.
