Halls ClosedThe halls will be locked for the break at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21 and will reopen at noon Sunday, November 25. Food service ends on November 21 at 6:00 p.m. and begins again at 4:30 p.m. on November 25 for the evening meal.
Sign up at the front desk of your residence community between Monday, October 29 and Friday, November 16 to stay in your room over Thanksgiving Break.
There is no charge to stay on campus during Thanksgiving Break.
Students may stay in their own rooms during the time the residence communities are locked. For security reasons, students who want to stay on campus beyond 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21 must register at their community front desk by Friday, November 16. There is no charge to stay on-campus during Thanksgiving Break. Anyone in the residence communities over break who did not register will be charged an administative fee of $50 and may be subject to disciplinary proceedings. During the break period all residence community and University policies remain in effect.
1. CLOSE and LOCK your windows.
2. Remove all room trash.
3. Return all To-Go Meal containers to the Carkoski Dining Hall.
4. Turn off the alarm on your clock.
5. Close blinds if on the first floor.
6. Turn off and un-plug your computer and peripherals.
7. Turn off the lights.
8. CLOSE and LOCK your room door.
A staff member will be checking your room on Wednesday to help secure the building. If policy violations are observed while staff are securing the building, staff will document the violation and will follow up when the resident returns.
