Plumbing renovations include a new sink in each room, with the added bonus of a new medicine cabinet and tile around the sink.

All student and public room doors have been replaced with solid maple doors.

Enjoy new lighting throughout the hall and in each room. You can even dim the lights in the halls and lounges.

Renovated Floor Kitchens

Floor kitchens have a whole new look, with a full-length counter, new flooring and paint. You’ll enjoy using the new glass-ceramic smooth-top ranges, microwaves and sinks, or relaxing at new gathering-height tables and chairs.

Bigger and Better Floor Lounges

Expanded lounges (a whole 6 feet wider) with updated furniture—upholstered chairs, study tables, and study chairs. New carpet and paint completes the look of your newly renovated lounge.

Community Bathrooms Updated

New tile was installed in each of the community bathrooms

New carpet along with a fresh coat of paint down the halls is a welcome sight!

Note: I Hall Dust Discount

Because of adjacent construction of the new residence hall, 2011-2012 I Hall residents will have outdoor-only access to other halls, the McElroy Front Desk, and the Carkoski Dining Hall. I Hall will not have an indoor hallway connecting to these areas until construction is complete. Please see the I-Hall Walkways map at www.mnsu.edu/reslife/construction/news.html to view the walkways I Hall residents will use to get to the Front Desk and Dining Hall. These walkways are highlighted in yellow, and public walkways around the construction site are highlighted in green. There will also be intermittent construction noise weekdays no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and heavy construction no earlier than 10:00 a.m.

Students living in I Hall for 2011-2012 will pay the BASIC ROOM RATE rather than the renovated room rate.
