We're Starting Week 8!

Start getting ready for your next round of quizzes and exams!  Taking a small amount of time each day to prepare is better than cramming the night before an exam!

Here are some common rumors answered about getting tutoring for your classes!

The Counseling Center is hosting workshops to help you personally and academically.

Do you need help with Math or Statistics?  Check out the Mathematics and Statistics Learning Center located in Wissink Hall Room 285.  Here are their hours: Mondays-Wednesdays 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This is the last week for the Office Hours Drawing! If you go to office hours and talk to your professor or TA, you can enter your name in the drawing.  Look for the yellow flyer hanging around your floor, building, or lobby.  Prizes include a Yeti Cup, a Portable Power Pack, a Passion Planner, a MSU sweatshirt, or a $30 gift card to Jimmy Johns!

Give Us Your Opinion & Win a $100 Pizza Party

Beginning today, you will receive an email invitation to give feedback on your CA and Floor (or Stadium Heights Building) Community.  The survey is brief, taking no more than 5 minutes to complete.  Why should you participate?  Because your experience living on campus is important to us and we want to hear what's going well and what can be improved!

To sweeten the deal, we're adding a competitive element.
The floor in each residence community (Crawford, McElroy, Julia Sears, Preska, and building at Stadium Heights) with the highest cumulative completion rate for this survey and next week's EBI Survey will win a $100 pizza party for their floor (or Stadium Heights building).  So don't delay, fill out the survey in your inbox!  We'll share more information on the EBI Survey in next week's newsletter.

It's Almost Time for you to Select your Room for Next Year

Believe it or not, it's time to start thinking about where you will live next year.  As a returning student, you have leverage in the room selection process and actually get to hand pick the room or apartment you will be living in next year.  Here are some items to consider when thinking about next year:

We have identified three timelines for you to pick your room for next year.  Pay attention to the timeline below that specifically speaks to where you want to live next year (that's your window for choosing your room for next year).  When these windows of time open up, you'll be able to reserve a space for next year.  At the time you apply for housing, we will require a $250 prepayment that will be applied to your fall room charges in 2017.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to remind you of these deadlines and give you additional information to help you make your housing decisions for the 17-18 academic year.
