Minnesota State University, Mankato will be presenting Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) Programs during the month of April. The Violence Awareness and Response Program and the Women's Center are proud to host programs and events all month long. The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals about prevention of sexual violence. Planning and implementation of these programs were made possible with assistance from: MSU's Department of Residential Life, Committee Against Domestic Abuse, The MSU student group "Men Against Violence," The Office of Affirmative Action, the LGBT Center, La Mano and Student Health Services.
Wednesday, April 4, 7:00 p.m. - Ostrander Auditorium - Like drawing back a curtain to let bright light stream in, Miss Representation uncovers a glaring reality we live with every day but fail to see. This film explores how the media's misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence. Entertainment Weekly called film, "Inspiring" and Variety wrote, "An admirable work of media literacy education."

NRHH elections for next year will be held at their next regular meeting April 11.
The last day for students who now have the Maverick 160 plan to convert meals to Flex Dollars for spring semester is April 30. Maverick 160 meals can be converted into Flex Dollars at a rate of $5.10 per meal, two times each semester. Your converted Flex Dollars can be utilized at any dining location on campus at any time of the day. Converted Flex Dollars not used by the end of the semester are forfeited.

Students who are interested in living on campus for the 2012-2013 academic year may place their names on our waiting list by either contacting the Department of Residential Life or by submitting their name via our online form
The number of students living in the residence halls opportunities are limited for the 2012-2013 academic year and not every student will be able to return to the residence halls.
Students can also find out about off-campus housing options online.
Summer 2012 Housing is available for students enrolled in at least one summer course at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Space is limited and assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
