Be Aware of Door Locking Schedule Changes During Homecoming

As you finalize your plans for Homecoming 2014, we hope you find the time to attend several Homecoming activities. We hope you have fun, make safe decisions, and represent Minnesota State Mankato and yourself positively both on and off campus.

During Homecoming weekend, exterior residence community doors will lock at 7:00 P.M. on both Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4. Additional staff will also be present and walking through the residence communities on a regular basis.

If you need assistance, or see something suspicious, please let our staff know or call University Security at 507-389-2111.

If you have a guest(s), remember it is your responsibility to inform them of both Residence Community and University policies. Uncooperative and unescorted guests will be required to leave and residence hall students are responsible for the actions of their guests through the Minnesota State Mankato conduct process.

Political Campaigning

It is that time of year where political campaigning often occurs in the residence halls. As a state institution, the following guidelines have been established for campaigning on behalf of candidates for local, county, state, and national offices. [PDF] mnsu/reslife/resources/pdf_political_campaign_guidelines.pdf (102 KiB)

You can choose to post a "no campaigning" notice on your living unit door and these notices are available at the front desk. Additionally, if you observe someone not adhering to these guidelines, contact Residential Life or University Security staff immediately.
